With the aim of continuing to improve the travelers’ experience, “My Pod Capsule Boutique” was inaugurated at Ezeiza International Airport in Buenos Aires, an innovative and ecological service space with unique design and comfort details.

The facilities include spacious and comfortable rooms, in two versions according to their size (Maxi Pod and Mini Pod), shower facilities, self-managed lockers for luggage storage, meeting rooms and coworking. All areas are accessible for people with reduced mobility.

This project is specially designed to meet the needs of passengers whose flights are delayed, who arrive or depart at inconvenient times or who have long waiting times between connections. For this reason, the service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. In addition, due to its strategic location within the airport, it can be accessed on foot from the boarding terminals.

From the first days of November it will open its doors to the general public, who will be able to use the facilities by making a reservation through the website https://mypodcapsule.com. Each of the services are purchased by the hour and must be selected individually, although combos combining two or more services are also available.

Fort Lauderdale Airport begins construction of new terminal

“At Aeropuertos Argentina 2000 there is a team that works every day to improve our passengers’ experience. During 2023 we inaugurated the New Passenger Terminal in April and we are working with different alternatives to accompany the growth of air traffic. In this context, we are happy to be able to inaugurate My Pod and continue adding experiences and services to each of our passengers,” said Sebastián Villar Guarino, general manager of Ezeiza Airport.

My Pod Capsule Boutique was built together with UNIMOD, specialized in off-site construction with state-of-the-art technology. The company manufactures modular buildings in 3 dimensions, in a complete and integral way in its workshops. This system has several advantages, such as reduced construction times and flexibility in design and future modifications. In addition, it is a sustainable process due to lower water consumption during construction, increased energy efficiency (thermal insulation), reduced on-site waste, use of recyclable materials, and reduced environmental impact.

For this project, 12 transportable modular buildings were used, covering an area of 330 m2, while the main hall, which acts as a connector for each module, was built using the Steel Frame system directly on the existing ground.
