El Dorado Airport to remain at 74 operations per hour in the summer of 2024

The Special Administrative Unit of Civil Aeronautics, in an articulated work between the areas in charge of air traffic management and slot coordination, declared the hourly operating capacity that Bogota’s El Dorado International Airport will have for the 2024 summer season, which runs from March 31 to October 26.

The operational capacity of El Dorado Airport for the 2024 summer season is maintained at 74 operations per hour, where air traffic management, to the extent possible and in accordance with the operational environment, will expedite operations on social and tourist routes prioritized by the National Government within the objective of regional convergence and seeking operational efficiency.

This statement contemplates the allocation of slots for scheduled, non-scheduled, state or regional convergence aviation in each of the slots, without prejudice to the construction of collaborative decisions in the operational environment.

The Special Administrative Unit of Civil Aeronautics indicated that “this declaration promotes efficiency, regional convergence, social tourism, connectivity and competitiveness of El Dorado International Airport, maintaining punctuality rates and service levels for the benefit of the millions of international and domestic passengers that transit through this terminal”.
