Spain’s Iberia will increase its offer of long-haul flights for the coming summer season, with a special focus on Latin America, where the airline’s greatest commitment will be concentrated, offering up to 328 weekly flights, a figure that once again surpasses all previous records.
The summer season begins on March 25 and runs through October 28, 2024. Six months in which the airline will also expand its flights to the United States.
Latin America, Iberia’s priority
The airline has scheduled a further increase in its Latin American operations for the summer months of next year, expanding the number of weekly flights to most of the 18 destinations it serves in 16 countries in the region. In total, more than 3.1 million seats will be offered.
Argentina: In addition to the two daily flights currently operated with the southern country, three more frequencies will be added, offering 17 flights between Madrid and Buenos Aires during the week, which will mean that three days a week the Argentine capital will have three daily flights.
Brazil: Rio de Janeiro will have six weekly frequencies in June, July, August and September. In addition, three new frequencies to Sao Paulo will be added to the current daily flight, bringing the total to ten weekly frequencies. In total, Brazil will have 16 weekly frequencies in the coming summer season.
→ Tirana, Iberia’s new destination
Colombia: Bogota has been one of Iberia’s star destinations for 2023, and this commitment to the country will continue next year. For the summer, 21 weekly frequencies will be offered, three daily flights, compared to 18 frequencies last summer.
Mexico: The three daily flights between Mexico City and Madrid will be maintained, which will allow the European connection through 21 weekly frequencies.
Peru: Iberia will also maintain the increase in flights to the capital of Peru, which will allow it to offer customers a total of 13 frequencies per week, two daily flights less on Sunday.
Ecuador: The offer will be expanded with one more weekly flight to Quito, offering seven frequencies (one daily flight), while connections with Guayaquil will increase from three to five frequencies between June and September. In this way, Ecuador will have a connectivity of 12 weekly frequencies with Spain.
Chile: In addition to the seven weekly frequencies to Santiago last summer, three more are added, offering a total of 10 weekly flights.

Specifically, the airline will operate two daily flights to New York and another two to Miami and a daily flight to Chicago, Boston and Dallas. It will also increase its frequencies to Los Angeles during the months of June, July, August and September, with seven weekly flights, compared to the current five, all operated by Airbus A350s.
