JetSMART announced the reinforcement of its fleet in Peru with the addition of a fifth Airbus A320neo aircraft, as it is about to start international flights to three cities in Colombia and plans to increase frequencies on several of its domestic routes. In this way, the airline remains firmly committed to the development and growth of the air market in the country, its international expansion, as well as to continue providing more opportunities for more Peruvians to travel at affordable prices.
Starting in October, the airline plans to increase frequencies to its main destinations. The fifth aircraft, which has the green turtle that inhabits the northern coastal area as a distinctive feature on its tail, also reinforces the development of its international operations. In July, the company began selling tickets between Lima and three Colombian cities: Medellín, Cartagena and Cúcuta.

For the month of November, the route to Medellin will be available with a frequency of five flights per week. Flights to Cartagena will begin on December 7 and to Cúcuta on December 12 of this year, both with a frequency of three flights per week.
“We continue with firm steps in our connectivity plans and expand the air market, offering more flights to domestic destinations at ultra-low prices. In this sense, the arrival of our fifth aircraft will contribute to reinforce the increase of flights in three of our most demanded domestic routes: Cusco, Arequipa and Tarapoto. With this increase in frequencies, we will be able to operate a total of around 125 domestic flights per week”, said Francesca Luna, JetSMART’s General Manager in Peru.
