The Regional Government of Madeira, in Portugal, confirmed that the Venezuelan aeronautical authorities have given the “green light” for the TAP airline to operate flights between Lisbon and Caracas next summer, with a stopover on the island of Madeira.
The regional Secretary of Tourism, Eduardo Jesús, highlighted the tireless work to make this air connection between Caracas and Madeira a reality. The initiative dates back to May 2023, when the management of TAP, the airline that will operate this service, met with Madeira representatives after the Flower Festival. Since then, the reestablishment of the Caracas-Madeira route became a priority for both parties.
“We are resuming a connection that already existed, which will facilitate all this mobility and, above all, will bring Venezuela closer to Madeira, satisfying our entire community”, added Eduardo Jesus.
