United Airlines took delivery last Thursday of the first of 180 new Airbus A321s on order (130 A321neo and 50 A321XLRs) to renew its fleet of single-aisle aircraft.
The new aircraft, which will be based at Chicago O’Hare International Airport, will enter service in December, initially operating flights to Phoenix. It will then fly to Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, Fort Myers and Las Vegas.

The airline’s A321neo will feature 200 seats; 20 in First Class, 57 Economy Plus and 123 in Economy.
“With the introduction of the A321neo into its fleet, United will fully benefit from the Airbus Airspace cabin, providing an exceptional customer and cabin crew experience fully aligned with the United Next initiative,” commented Christian Scherer, Airbus CCO.
