Arajet reported that it transported more than 500,000 passengers a little more than a year after starting operations, achieving a milestone in commercial aviation in the Dominican Republic, connecting directly to North, Central and South America.
Carolyn Rijo, who boarded a flight from Santo Domingo to Medellín, was the 500,000th passenger and received as a gift an air ticket for two people that can be used to travel to any of the 22 destinations in 15 countries served by Arajet.

Victor Pacheco Méndez, CEO & Founder of Arajet, expressed his gratitude for the confidence of these passengers who have chosen to visit other destinations through the Dominican flag carrier with the best international standards and the warmth of Dominican customer service.
The airline pointed out that it plans to achieve the milestone of being the Dominican airline that will transport between 5% and 10% of the tourists coming to the country by 2024.
According to the recent report on air commercial activity in the Dominican Republic published by the Civil Aviation Board (JAC), Arajet is the airline that makes the greatest contribution to the country’s connectivity and highlighted that in the month of October it transported more than 44,000 passengers.
