Icelandair on Thursday unveiled its 2024 flight schedule, its most extensive to date, offering flights to more than 50 destinations.
The carrier will for the first time operate flights to Pittsburgh, the company’s 12th destination in the United States. With four flights a week, flights will be offered from mid-May through the end of October.
After a few years’ hiatus, the airline will resume flights to Halifax, with three flights a week from May 31 through mid-October 2024.

Increased connectivity will offer 800 different connections through codeshare agreements with other airlines. By 2024, the airline expects available seat kilometers (ASKs) to increase by at least 10% over the previous year.
Icelandair also reported that it will take delivery of three new Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft in 2024, to reach 42 aircraft, of which 21 MAX.
“We are presenting an ambitious flight schedule for next summer and the largest in the company’s history. Our fleet continues to grow and next year we will add three new Boeing 737 MAXs. We are very pleased to add two new destinations in North America and significantly increase frequency to other destinations,” said Bogi Nils Bogason, CEO of Icelandair.
