LATAM increased international flight capacity by 31.2%, reaching highest level since 2020

LATAM Group reported Friday that operations, measured in available seat kilometers (ASK), grew 14.9% compared to October 2022. In the international segment, the company increased its capacity by 31.2% compared to the same month of 2022, reaching the highest ASK level since February 2020, with an occupancy factor of 87.8% in that segment.

During the first ten months of 2023, capacity in the international segment increased by 39.8% compared to the same period in 2022, in line with a 41.9% increase in demand.

The number of passengers carried in that month increased by 13.2% compared to the same period in 2022, reaching 6.4 million passengers, of which 1.2 million corresponded to international operations, up 38.4% compared to October 2022.

So far this year, the total number of passengers transported exceeded 60 million, an increase of 18.1% compared to the period January – October 2022.

In cargo, the group added its 19th freighter aircraft, a Boeing 767-300BCF, to its fleet, strengthening its presence in the region’s export and import markets. In operation, capacity measured in available ton-kilometers (ATK) increased by 8.7% compared to October 2022, reaching 5.866 million available ton-kilometers during the first ten months of 2023.
