LATAM transported 6.7 million passengers in November, up 17.6%

LATAM Group reported on Tuesday its operational figures for November, reaching 6.7 million passengers transported, representing an increase of 17.6% over the same period last year. So far this year, the total number of passengers carried reached 66.9 million, an increase of 18.1% compared to the period January – November 2022.

As of the eleventh month of the year, passenger traffic (measured in revenue passenger-kilometers – RPK) increased 19.9% compared to the same month of 2022, with increases in all segments in which the group operates: 29.5% on international routes, 19.6% in the domestic markets of Chile, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru, and 7.1% in the domestic market of Brazil. Between January and November of this year, total traffic increased by 23.3% compared to the same period last year.

Capacity measured in available seat kilometers (ASK) increased 16.2% compared to November 2022, and during the first eleven months of 2023, it increased 21.3% compared to the same period of 2022. It is worth noting the 26% increase in the international segment and 16.6% in the domestic markets of Chile, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru. This reflects the implementation of LATAM’s growth plan, the fleet modernization strategy and network expansion.

On the other hand, the passenger occupancy factor at the consolidated level was 85.2% in the month of November, which represents 2.6 percentage points above November 2022 levels.

In cargo, capacity measured in available ton-kilometers (ATK) increased by 11.5% over November 2022, reaching 6,502 million available ton-kilometers during the first eleven months of 2023.
