Avianca launches new non-stop route between Medellin and Aruba
Avianca announced Monday the launch of a new direct route between Medellin and Aruba, which will begin on June 2, 2024.
The route will operate four times a week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday) on Airbus A320 aircraft with capacity for 180 passengers. In total, more than 1,400 seats will be available per week between the two cities.

“We are very excited to announce this new route between Medellin and Aruba […] with this operation avianca continues its commitment to strengthen the connectivity of Colombia and all of Latin America with the Caribbean through Medellin. Aruba is a first class tourist destination that today we reach with 6 weekly frequencies from Bogota, and Medellin, an increasingly consolidated connection point where we already have more than 20 domestic and international routes,” said David Aleman, Avianca’s Sales Director for Colombia and South America.
Avianca currently offers flights from Medellin to San Andres, Armenia, Barranquilla, Bucaramanga, Bogota, Cali, Cartagena, Cucuta, Monteria, Pereira, Riohacha, Santa Marta, Cancun, New York, Madrid, Orlando, Mexico City, Miami, Punta Cana, San Jose, Quito and San Juan.
