Avianca announced that, as of February 1, 2024, it will renew its offer and will have four fares, both for flights in the Americas and Europe, in order to provide its customers with a simpler, more flexible and easier-to-buy product. Thus, it will have three economy class options and one business class option.

“This new offer is based on simplicity and flexibility, which undoubtedly translates into better prices for customers. These four fares, in addition to making the purchase process easier, are designed to meet the needs of all types of travelers. At Avianca, the sky belongs to everyone and customers choose how they prefer to fly,” said Manuel Ambriz, Avianca’s Chief Commercial Officer.

What does each fare include?

To fly within the Americas, except Brazil, the airline will have three fares available in economy class: basic, classic and flex; and one in business class: business, which can be purchased on routes within the Americas operated on twin-aisle aircraft.

  • basic: for those who choose to fly light. This includes a personal item and check-in on the web or app.
  • classic: for those who want to fly with more benefits. The fare includes 1 personal item; 1 carry-on bag of 10kg; 1 checked baggage of 23kg; check-in at the counter, web or app; economy seat selection and LifeMiles mileage accrual.
  • flex: with more possibilities. Includes personal items; 1 carry-on bag of 10kg; 1 checked baggage of 23kg; check-in at the counter, web or app; seat selection plus, emergency exit or economy; changes and refunds before the flight and LifeMiles accumulation.
  • business: The one that has it all. For flights to and from Europe and originating in Brazil, the airline will also offer 3 sizes in economy: light, classic and flex, and business in business class.

  • light: to fly with the basics. This fare includes 1 personal item, 1 carry-on bag of 10kg and web or app check-in.
  • The classic, flex and business fares available on flights to Europe and originating in Brazil will maintain the same attributes they have within the Americas.

In addition to the improved offer for flights to Europe, in December, the airline launched its new business class experience for these destinations with a menu created by the owner of El Chato restaurant, located in Bogota and selected in 2023 as one of the best by The World’s 50 Best Restaurants. Also included is a new amenity kit with products from the Loto del Sur brand and collectible Mola Sasa cases, designed in collaboration with women from the Gunadule indigenous community.

The company also pointed out that it will continue to focus on personalization and, for each of the fares, will offer its customers more than 16 complementary products, including access to avianca lounges, upgrades to business class, priority boarding, as well as other products designed to provide assistance during the trip.
