The Dominican airline Arajet announced Thursday that it will make a special flight from the Gregorio Luperón International Airport in Puerto Plata to the El Dorado Airport in Bogota as part of the actions to promote connectivity within the framework of the ANATO 2024 tourism fair.
Victor Pacheco Méndez, CEO & Founder of Arajet, indicated that the airline will connect for the first time the city of Puerto Plata with Bogota where a delegation headed by officials of the Ministry of Tourism will travel together with the main entrepreneurs and actors of the Dominican tourism sector, including the presence of the president of the Association of Hotels and Tourism of the Dominican Republic (ASONAHORES), David Llibre.

“Arajet has the firm commitment to be part of the growth of visitor arrivals to the Dominican Republic and that is why we will be supporting all the necessary initiatives to improve the country’s air connectivity and to boost tourism in the northern part of the country,” said Pacheco Méndez.
He pointed out that the flight will depart on Tuesday, February 27 at 7:00am from Santo Domingo, making a 45-minute stopover in Puerto Plata and then arriving in Bogota at 10:25am. The return flight is scheduled for Friday, March 1 at 4:45pm, arriving in Santo Domingo at 8:25pm.
ANATO is Colombia’s main tourism fair and one of the most important in Latin America, and thanks to the country’s successful participation in this event in 2023, the Arajet routes that now connect Santiago de los Caballeros with Medellin and Bogota were born.
Those interested in being part of this historic flight can purchase their ticket at a special rate through the airline’s website.
