Passengers on Avianca flight AV18, which departed on February 26 for Barcelona, enjoyed the presence of Colombian chef Álvaro Clavijo, recognized as one of the 35 best chefs in the world and creator of the in-flight menu in Business Class for all of the airline’s flights from Bogotá to Europe.

During the flight, the chef was part of the meal service and interacted with the passengers, who had the opportunity to live a haute cuisine experience at more than 36,000 feet above sea level.

“We have designed a unique experience for all our Business Class customers that blends the best of local ingredients with the expertise of a world-class chef like Alvaro Clavijo,” said Dana Shapir, senior vice president of Customer Delivery at Avianca.

In addition to this menu, passengers traveling in business class also have an Amenity Kit with collectible cases, designed by Mola Sasa in collaboration with the Gunadule indigenous community, with recycled fabric from PET bottles, with a proposal that promotes sustainability and inclusion.

Each Amenity Kit contains the essence of Latin America, through the formulations of Loto del Sur, a Colombian brand that celebrates and captures the richness of our culture, elevating the onboard experience.
