SKY Airline began the sale of its new direct route between Santiago and Salvador de Bahía, which will begin flying on July 1, 2024, and which complements the existing route with a stopover in Montevideo, Uruguay.

With this new route, the airline maintains seven destinations to Brazil, strengthening its commitment to connectivity in the region and becoming the only airline with a direct flight from Santiago to Salvador de Bahía. It is also the only airline with flights between the Brazilian city and Montevideo, Uruguay.

Sky Airline closed 2023 with a fleet of 30 aircraft

The route is expected to transport more than 2,500 passengers per month, considering that it will have two weekly frequencies, on Mondays and Fridays.

“The arrival of this new direct route to Salvador de Bahia makes us the only airline with this option available, thus enabling greater passenger exchange between Chile and Brazil. With this we reaffirm our commitment to the region, strengthening our international connectivity network,” said Jaime Fernandez, SKY’s Sales Manager.

At the same time, SKY will increase from 3 to 6 frequencies on the Lima – Montevideo route, which will also open up the opportunity for Uruguayans to reach Miami.
