Espacio Iberia opens its doors in Mexico City in the emblematic neighborhood of Polanco, in the heart of the country’s capital.

Although it has been open since last Friday, March 1, this Monday marks the official opening of the airline’s space, which for three weeks, until March 21, will offer visitors the chance to live the Iberia experience without leaving the city: try the seats of the new A350 and taste the menus served on board, fly a plane thanks to a flight simulator, learn about the history of the company through its uniforms and, of course, participate in various events such as wine tastings, ham, cocido madrileño and other typical products of Spanish gastronomy.

The Espacio Iberia is open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. every day of the week. Those who want to enjoy the experiences can book for free through the website www.espacioiberia.com.

Mexico, with a historic capacity

After two editions of Espacio Iberia in Madrid and one in Bogota, the airline’s experience center is moving to Mexico, a country that is a priority in Iberia’s commitment to Latin America, which it relaunched in 2023 and is maintaining this year.

In fact, together with Colombia, Mexico is the market with which Iberia has the greatest connectivity in its long-haul network, with three daily flights, which means that by 2024 it will have a capacity of more than 770,000 seats, the highest figure it has recorded in the almost 75 years that this route has been in operation.

The route is operated entirely with the new Airbus A350s, the largest and most advanced aircraft in Iberia’s fleet, equipped with the latest technology and designed to fly with maximum efficiency, reducing CO2 emissions by 30-35%.
