KLM announced Wednesday that it will expand its transatlantic network with a new route between Amsterdam and Portland, Oregon, starting October 27, 2024, its 21st nonstop destination in North America.
The route will have three weekly frequencies (Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays) in winter and five in summer (Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays), and will be operated by Boeing 787-9 aircraft with capacity for 275 passengers: 30 in World Business Class, 21 in Premium Comfort Class and 224 in Economy Class.

KLM indicated that these flights will replace the scheduled service offered by Delta Air Lines on the route, which it has been operating for 15 years.
Delta Air Lines is a partner in the trans-Atlantic joint venture with KLM.
