After being suspended in 2022, LATAM Airlines announced Wednesday the return of the direct route between Santiago and Punta del Este, Uruguay, for the 2024-2025 austral summer season (December to March next year).
With three frequencies a week on Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays, the route will be operated by Airbus A320 aircraft with capacity for 174 passengers and flights will last just over 2 hours.

“This route allows us to increase connectivity between Chile and Uruguay, a country with which we also have a direct flight to the capital, Montevideo. We expect to have a high flow of vacationers on the route and mobilize more than 12,500 passengers during the season,” said María Paz Villasante, LATAM Airlines Group Commercial Strategy Manager.
This route adds to the offer of direct flights that already exist between Chile and Montevideo, allowing international travelers to have more options to reach Uruguay and explore its different tourist destinations.
LATAM Airlines Group currently has an extensive network of 148 destinations in 26 countries and four continents: America, Europe, Africa and Oceania.
