To strengthen connectivity between Central American countries, Avianca announced the launch of a new route that will connect San José, Costa Rica with Panama City starting October 27, 2024.
The route will operate one daily flight on Airbus A320 aircraft with capacity for 180 passengers. This will provide travelers with more than 2,000 seats per week to fly between the two destinations.

Our passengers will be able to enjoy an increasingly efficient, safe and reliable travel experience,” said Rolando Damas, Avianca’s Director of Sales for North, Central America and the Caribbean.
With this new direct route to Panama City, Avianca will strengthen Costa Rica’s connectivity in Central America.
