Alaska Airlines inaugurates service on five new routes

Alaska Airlines announced Tuesday that it launched five new nonstop routes, expanding its California presence and adding a new coast-to-coast connection.

Beginning today, passengers will be able to travel on the Las Vegas-San Diego, Las Vegas-Santa Rosa/Sonoma County, Los Angeles-Pasco (Washington) and Los Angeles-Reno routes. Nonstop flights between Portland and Atlanta also resumed.

The Los Angeles-Pasco, Las Vegas-Santa Rosa and Las Vegas-San Diego flights will operate one daily flight on Embraer 175 aircraft, while Los Angeles-Reno will have two daily frequencies.

The Portland-Atlanta route will be served daily by Boeing 737-900 aircraft.

“Travel demand continues to be strong, and we are excited to provide our guests with more options for their next business trip or autumn getaway. With the addition of these new nonstop routes, we also continue to strengthen our presence throughout the state of California and connect Pacific Northwest communities with our broader network”, Kirsten Amrine, Vice President of Revenue Management and Network Planning said.
