Arajet began operations from Punta Cana Airport, thus expanding its network of destinations and connecting this important tourist destination with the American continent.
The airline will initially operate 14 destinations to and from Punta Cana: Kingston in Jamaica; Lima in Peru; Mexico City and Cancun in Mexico; Bogota, Cartagena and Medellin in Colombia; Quito and Guayaquil in Ecuador; Toronto and Montreal in Canada; Sao Paulo in Brazil; Buenos Aires in Argentina and Santiago in Chile.
With this expansion, Punta Cana Airport becomes the airline’s second base of operations in the Dominican Republic.

Victor Pacheco, CEO and Founder of Arajet, expressed his satisfaction at being able to offer the citizens of the region the opportunity to connect with the Eastern zone, recognized as the most important tourist center in the Caribbean and the second most important in the entire continent.

He emphasized that the airline aims to increase passenger mobility from Punta Cana Airport, the busiest airport in the country. This effort seeks to position the Dominican Republic as the new air hub of the continent.
“This strategic alliance responds to our mission to continue to be the airport with the most air traffic in the Dominican Republic, receiving 68% of the tourists arriving in our country. We thank Arajet for placing their trust in our airport and inviting us to be part of their expansion plans in the country, with the purpose of promoting tourism,” said Giovanni Rainieri, Director of Airside Operations at Punta Cana Airport.
In two years of operations, Arajet has consolidated its position as the Dominican airline with the highest passenger movement, surpassing the 100 thousand passenger barrier for several consecutive months. This represents more than 7% of the total number of passengers flying to and from the Dominican Republic.
