Avianca launches new routes to Georgetown and Panama City
Avianca announced Thursday the start of ticket sales of two new international routes to Panama City and Georgetown (Guyana) from Colombia.
The Medellín-Panama City route will begin on December 2, offering two daily flights, while the Bogotá-Georgetown route will have two weekly frequencies starting December 10.

Both routes will be operated with Airbus A320 aircraft, offering more than 700 seats per week between Bogota and Georgetown and more than 5,000 seats between Medellin and Panama City.
“We are very happy to be announcing our eighth 2024 route in Medellin and also our fifth new operation in Bogota to a new destination, with very positive expectations, such as Georgetown. With these new routes in operation, we continue to consolidate a convenient and efficient offer for our customers with one of the largest route networks in Latin America to offer more and more access and connectivity to more people in the region,” said David Aleman, Avianca’s Sales Director for Colombia and South America.
