Emirates delays again start of Airbus A350 operations
Emirates has again delayed the start of its Airbus A350-900 operations, Aeroroutes reported Thursday.
This week, the airline updated its flight schedule and now the aircraft’s debut will be January 15, 2025 on the Dubai – Edinburgh route.
Prior to this latest update, the model was initially scheduled to begin operations with the airline in August, then postponed to September 15. The date was subsequently changed to November 4 and then to December 16.

As of today, these are the operations scheduled by Emirates with the A350:
- Dubai – Edinburgh as of January 15, 2025
- Dubai – Kuwait City as of February 1, 2025
- Dubai – Ahmedabad as of February 1, 2025
- Dubai – Bahrain as from February 1, 2025
- Dubai – Mumbai as of February 1, 2025
- Dubai – Lyon as of March 1, 2025
- Dubai – Colombo as of March 1, 2025
- Dubai – Bologna as of March 15, 2025
The airline has 65 Airbus A350-900 aircraft on order. These aircraft will have a three-class configuration: 32 in Business Class, 21 in Premium Economy and 259 in Economy.
