Avianca announced this Friday the official launch of the Bogotá-Havana nonstop route, which will begin operating on December 16.
The airline reported that it will operate one daily frequency on A320 family aircraft, with capacity for 180 passengers, which will represent a total supply of more than 2,500 seats per week between the two cities.

Flights will take off from Bogota at 12:35, arriving in Havana at 16:00 (local time). From the island they will depart at 17:10, landing in the Colombian capital at 20:25 (local time).
“We are happy to be able to land in Havana by the end of this year with a new direct route that will allow millions of passengers to connect from different parts of the world with the history, gastronomy and culture of Havana, through Bogota. It will be a daily flight and more than 2,500 weekly seats that will also allow us to offer greater and better international connectivity, fulfilling our commitment to facilitate access to flying by air to more people,” said David Alemán, Avianca’s director of sales for Colombia and South America.
