Brazilian airline industry figures continue to show strength and recovery, setting historical records in several indicators in October 2024. Data compiled by the National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) show that both the domestic and international markets performed better than any other October in the historical series, which began in 2000.
In the domestic passenger market, demand measured in RPK (passenger kilometers carried) grew by 11.3% compared to October 2023, while ASK (seats per kilometer offered) increased by 9.6%. These figures represent the highest ever recorded for the month of October in 24 years.

In addition, the total number of passengers carried within the country reached 8.3 million in the month, up 6.5% from October 2023, consolidating a solid recovery in the sector.→ Passenger demand reaches all-time high in September.
The international market also recorded historic results. Demand (RPK) grew by 11.8% and supply (ASK) by 12.6% compared to October 2023. The total number of passengers carried exceeded 2.1 million, representing an increase of 11.8% compared to the same period last year.
The freight sector also maintained its growth rate. In the domestic market, 44,200 tons were transported in October, 14.8% more than in the same month of 2023. In the international market, the volume reached 82,700 tons, the highest figure recorded for the month of October in the historical series, with a growth of 18.3% compared to the previous year.
