Hainan Airlines inaugurated Tuesday its new non-stop route between Shenzhen, China’s third largest city, and Madrid (Spain).
The route will operate two flights per week (Tuesdays and Saturdays) on Boeing 787-9 aircraft with capacity for 292 passengers.
This is the second route the airline operates to Madrid-Barajas, after Chongqing-Jiangbei.

In this way, the airport of the Spanish capital strengthens its connections with the Asian continent, where it is focused, together with its operations with Latin America. These are two very important regions for consolidating Madrid-Barajas’ position as a major international hub.
In this regard, it should be noted that traffic with Asia has grown 133% during the first 10 months of 2024 compared to the same period last year 2023.
