Icelandair on Thursday launched a new route connecting Reykjavik (Iceland) to Istanbul (Türkiye) from September 5, 2025.
Flights will be available four times a week and will be operated on Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft.

Following the announcement of flights to Istanbul, Icelandair and Turkish Airlines will also further expand their codeshare partnership, first announced in the summer of 2023.
“I am looking forward to adding the great destination of Istanbul to our extensive route network and further expanding the partnership with Turkish Airlines, opening up convenient connections between Iceland and the Orient,” said Bogi Nils Bogason, President and CEO of Icelandair.
