KLM expands intercontinental network with three new destinations
KLM announced Tuesday that it will expand its intercontinental network with new services from Amsterdam to San Diego (United States), Georgetown (Guyana) and Hyderabad (India).
Starting May 8, 2025, the airline will launch nonstop flights between Amsterdam and San Diego, which will be available three times a week (Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays), making it KLM’s 22nd direct connection between Amsterdam and North America. The route will be operated on Boeing 787-9 aircraft, offering 30 seats in World Business Class, 21 in Premium Comfort Class and 224 in Economy Class.

The Amsterdam-Georgetown route will operate with twice-weekly flights (Wednesdays and Saturdays) on an Airbus A330-200 starting June 4, 2025, with a brief stopover in Saint Maarten on the outbound journey.
As of September 2, 2025, KLM will offer three weekly flights between Amsterdam and Hyderabad, making it the fourth direct connection between Amsterdam and India. The route will be operated on Boeing 777-200ER aircraft seating 288 passengers: 35 in World Business Class, 24 in Premium Comfort Class and 229 in Economy Class.
