Canada’s Porter Airlines is launching nonstop service to San Diego and Palm Springs from Toronto this week.
The route to San Diego took off this Monday, marking the start of the airline’s annual service with four weekly flights.
Seasonal flights to Palm Springs will begin on December 12 with three weekly frequencies.

Both routes will be operated on Embraer E195-E2 aircraft, which have a single-class capacity of 132 passengers in a 2-2 configuration, with no intermediate seats. The airline will offer free WiFi on these flights for all passengers and include a selection of snacks, beer and wine.
“Expanding into more destinations in Southern California is part of our commitment to provide more options to our passengers. We are proud to offer passengers the convenience of non-stop connections and the comfort of Porter’s elevated economy experience”, Edmond Eldebs, senior vice president and chief commercial officer, Porter Airlines said.
Passengers will be able to connect seamlessly to other destinations in the airline’s network at Toronto-Pearson or to other U.S. destinations with Alaska Airlines from San Diego.
