TAP Air Portugal announced Monday that it will resume nonstop flights between Lisbon and Porto Alegre, capital of Rio Grande do Sul, on April 1, 2025.

The route will operate three weekly frequencies (Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays) on Airbus A330neo aircraft, with capacity for 298 passengers. Flights are available from €699, round trip, all taxes included.

TAP Air Portugal announces two new routes to U.S.

It should be recalled that Porto Alegre’s Salgado Filho International Airport was closed on May 3 due to the state of emergency declared by the authorities as a result of the rains that caused significant flooding throughout Rio Grande do Sul, which also affected the airport infrastructure.

TAP Air Portugal is the airline with the most flights between Europe and Brazil, with almost 100 weekly flights from 13 Brazilian capitals.

The airline flies from Lisbon to São Paulo, Río de Janeiro, Belém, Belo Horizonte, Brasilia, Fortaleza, Natal, Maceió, Porto Alegre, Recife, Salvador, Florianópolis and Manaos, as well as connecting Oporto with São Paulo and Río de Janeiro.
