Its low-cost subsidiary, HK Express, will also launch flights to Sendai in January. Together, the group aims to reach 100 international destinations by the end of 2025, reaffirming its commitment to connecting customers to the world.

“Cathay Pacific’s history in Italy stretches back close to 40 years, starting with the launch of direct flights between Hong Kong and Rome in 1986. We know our customers have been eagerly anticipating the return of this route, and we are delighted to be back in Italy’s marvelous capital this summer”, Lavinia Lau, Cathay Pacific’s Chief Customer and Commercial Officer, said.
