STARLUX Airlines, one of Taiwan’s most promising airlines, has taken a significant step in its expansion strategy within the air cargo market. The company announced an expanded order with Airbus, confirming the acquisition of five additional A350F aircraft, doubling its initial order placed last year. This decision underscores STARLUX’s commitment to establishing itself as a key player on the world’s busiest cargo routes.
This next-generation model offers a payload capacity of up to 111 tonnes and a range of 4,700 nautical miles (8,700 kilometers). These features make it an ideal solution for the current and future needs of global air cargo transportation.

STARLUX’s Strategy: Leveraging Taiwan’s Strategic Location
STARLUX CEO Glenn Chai emphasized that the air cargo market will be a key component of the airline’s business model. Taiwan’s geographic location, at the heart of trade routes connecting Asia, America, and Europe, provides STARLUX with a significant competitive advantage to meet the growing demands of global trade.
