Copa Airlines Expands Flights to Georgetown, Guyana

Panama’s Copa Airlines increased its flights to Georgetown, Guyana, on January 5, 2025, giving travelers greater flexibility and more options for their itineraries.

Strengthened Connections Between Guyana and the Americas

With this expansion, Copa Airlines now will provide a total of seven weekly flights between Guyana and Panama. The airline continues to play a key role in connecting Guyana with over 80 destinations across the Americas through its operations hub at Tocumen International Airport, known as the Hub of the Americas.

“By increasing our flight frequencies to Guyana, we aim to further strengthen the country’s ties with the region and open new opportunities for tourism and commerce. We believe in Guyana’s potential and in connecting its travelers to the world”, Karen Nanne, Regional Sales Manager for Central America and the Caribbean, said.

The updated schedule includes the following timings:

From Panama City (Tocumen International Airport):

  • Flight CM181: Departs at 8:57 a.m., arrives at Cheddi Jagan International Airport at 1:28 p.m. (Mondays, Saturdays and Sundays).
  • Flight CM190: Departs at 9:31 p.m., arrives at 1:59 a.m. (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday).

From Georgetown (Cheddi Jagan International Airport):

  • Flight CM180: Departs at 2:23 p.m., arrives at Tocumen International Airport at 5:10 p.m. (Mondays, Saturdays and Sundays).
  • Flight CM191: Departs at 3:18 a.m., arrives at 5:52 a.m. (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday).

Since launching operations in Guyana in 2014, Copa Airlines has promoted the country’s economic growth and facilitated its integration into international markets.
