STARLUX Airlines, one of Taiwan’s most promising airlines, has taken a significant step in its expansion strategy within the air cargo market. The company announced an expanded order with Airbus, confirming the acquisition of five additional A350F aircraft, doubling its initial order placed last year. This decision underscores STARLUX’s commitment to establishing itself as a key player on the world’s busiest cargo routes.
This next-generation model offers a payload capacity of up to 111 tonnes and a range of 4,700 nautical miles (8,700 kilometers). These features make it an ideal solution for the current and future needs of global air cargo transportation.

Key Benefits of the A350F:
- Reduced Fuel Consumption and Emissions: With advanced Rolls-Royce Trent XWB-97 engines, the A350F promises up to a 40% reduction in fuel consumption and carbon emissions compared to previous-generation models.
- Structural Optimization: Over 70% of its structure is made from advanced materials, reducing its take-off weight by 46 tonnes compared to competing models.
- Regulatory Compliance: It is the only cargo aircraft designed to meet ICAO’s CO₂ emissions standards set to take effect in 2027.

With a fleet of 26 Airbus aircraft, including the A321neo, A330neo, and A350-900 models, STARLUX benefits from remarkable technical and operational homogeneity.
