In a strategic move towards fleet modernization, the Spanish airline Binter has taken a significant step by replacing four of its ATR 72-600 aircraft with new models equipped with advanced PW127XT engines. This firm order, placed at the end of 2024, also includes five additional options for future fleet renewals.

The news was announced during ATR’s 2024 results press conference, where a key milestone was highlighted: the first replacement of ATR -600 aircraft with next-generation models.
Binter’s president, Rodolfo Núñez, stated: “Our investment in these new ATR 72-600s underscores our commitment to maximum comfort and reliability for the communities we serve. Thanks to the efficiency of the PW127XT engines, optimized exclusively for ATR turboprops, we are setting new standards in fuel consumption, CO2 emissions, and operating costs, marking a benchmark in responsible aviation.”
