Wingo is preparing for a year of expansion and consolidation in 2025. The company projects a 10% growth in the number of passengers carried, reaching nearly 3.6 million travelers throughout the year. This performance will mark a milestone in the airline’s history, establishing its best operational performance since its founding.

A Positive Start to 2025

Wingo’s CEO, Eduardo Lombana, highlighted that the airline closed the first month of the year with solid performance, driven by the end of the high holiday season. “We are increasingly winning the preference of Colombian travelers, who find in us a safe, punctual, and low-cost operation, that is, a product that meets their expectations,” Lombana stated.

With this momentum, the airline will continue to expand its route network, enabling double-digit growth in both seat availability and the number of passengers carried.

Expansion in the Colombian Domestic Market

To strengthen its leadership in the sector, Wingo will increase its seat offerings within the Colombian domestic market in 2025. This plan includes increasing frequencies on existing routes and adding new routes, such as the recently launched connection between Bucaramanga and Santa Marta.

As a result of this strategy, more than 60% of the airline’s seats will be allocated to domestic flights within Colombia. “In 2025, two out of every three Wingo seats will be focused on the national domestic market. This adjustment in our route network responds to the growing demand for our product that we recorded in Colombia during 2024,” Lombana explained.

Wingo’s growth in 2025 reaffirms its commitment to offering affordable fares and efficient operations in the Colombian market.
