Air Europa has brought forward the entry into service date for the Boeing 737 MAX 8. The Spanish airline will commence scheduled flights with this model on June 23, 2025, connecting Madrid-Barajas with Amsterdam-Schiphol Airport. Initially, the MAX was slated to debut in September.
Route Expansion with the 737 MAX 8
The day after its first commercial flight, the 737 MAX 8 will operate on the route between Madrid and Brussels. Subsequently, the airline plans to expand the use of this model in its European operations:
- October 1, 2025: Madrid — Paris Orly
- January 10, 2026: Madrid — London Gatwick

Current Fleet and Future Additions
Air Europa has a total of twenty Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft on order from Boeing. Additionally, the company will add ten more aircraft through dry lease agreements with AerCap.
Currently, the airline operates a fleet of 51 aircraft, distributed as follows:
- 26 Boeing 737-800
- 10 Boeing 787-8
- 15 Boeing 787-9
With this addition, Air Europa strengthens its fleet and expands its European route network, emphasizing efficiency and modernization in its operations.
