The new British airline, Global Airlines, has set May 15 as the official start date for its operations, with the Airbus A380 as the sole aircraft model in its fleet. The inaugural flight will depart from Glasgow, Scotland, to New York’s John F. Kennedy Airport, with the return flight scheduled for May 19.
On May 21, the company will operate its next flight, this time from Manchester, England, again bound for New York, with the return flight on May 25. Both routes will be serviced by Hi Fly, the Portuguese leasing company responsible for preparing Global Airlines’ aircraft.

Although Global Airlines plans to operate with four Airbus A380s, it has so far acquired only one unit.
The aircraft set to debut was acquired over a year ago and has undergone an extensive preparation process, including a full cabin overhaul and the development of new menus and amenity kits to provide passengers with an enhanced experience.
