The Spanish airline Iberia announced this Sunday its long-haul flight program for the winter season of 2025-2026, solidifying its leadership in connectivity between Europe and Latin America. The airline will offer more than 355 weekly flights to the region and will make 2.4 million seats available, surpassing its historical records.
Notable Growth in Chile, Peru, and the Dominican Republic
The destinations that will experience the most significant increase in flight frequencies are Santiago de Chile, Lima, and Santo Domingo:
- Santiago de Chile will have 12 weekly flights, two more than in 2024, representing a 20% increase in seat capacity, exceeding 176,000 seats.
- Lima will increase its operations to 14 weekly frequencies, establishing a double daily flight. This will allow approximately 1,360 passengers to travel daily between Spain and Peru.
- Santo Domingo will reach 13 weekly frequencies in some months, with a total of 142,000 seats available during the season.

Consolidation of Operations in Other Key Markets
Iberia will maintain the frequencies of its routes in other strategic destinations in Latin America, ensuring stability in its network:
- Buenos Aires, Bogotá, and Mexico City: These routes will continue with triple daily flights, totaling 21 weekly frequencies each.
- São Paulo: The route will have 14 weekly frequencies, with two daily flights in each direction.
- Rio de Janeiro: The airline will operate up to five weekly flights.
- Quito, San José (Costa Rica), San Juan (Puerto Rico), and Montevideo: These destinations will maintain their daily flights with seven weekly frequencies.
- Caracas: The route will operate five weekly flights.
- San Salvador and Guatemala: These destinations will have four weekly flights.
- Guayaquil, Panama City, and Havana: These routes will continue with three weekly flights.
