Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS) has announced a significant transformation in its long-haul travel experience for Economy and Premium Economy passengers. Starting March 5, travelers will be able to enjoy a renewed experience under the ‘SWISS Senses’ concept, designed to stimulate all senses and make flying more enjoyable.
Innovations in Service and Comfort
SWISS’s new concept not only includes improvements in onboard service and gastronomic offerings but also innovations in cabin design and passenger comfort products. This initiative represents one of the largest investments in service in the airline’s history, reinforcing its commitment to excellence.
Welcome Onboard with Swiss Flavor
Once the flight reaches cruising altitude, Economy and Premium Economy passengers will be greeted with a special appetizer. Initially, a Sbrinz cheese starter will be offered, a nod to the traditional Swiss ‘apéro’ culture.

New Gastronomic Offerings and Exclusive Beverages
SWISS has elevated its onboard menu with new culinary creations for both main meals and pre-landing snacks. These enhancements include:
- Innovative menus with high-quality ingredients.
- Meals served on modern, reusable black trays.
- Expanded selection of snacks available during the flight.
- New beverage selection, including a Swiss red wine and traditional drinks like Rivella.
Enhanced Comfort for a Relaxing Journey
The travel experience has also been enriched with elements designed to maximize comfort:
- New exclusive fragrance: ‘Alpine Valley’, created in collaboration with the Swiss firm Soeder. This fragrance, inspired by the Swiss Alps, will be present in the soaps, hand lotions, and facial mists in the onboard lavatories.
- Improved rest items: Pillows and blankets made 100% from recycled materials, which will seamlessly integrate into the design of the future ‘SWISS Senses’ cabin.
- High-quality headphones: Designed to provide an immersive audio experience during onboard entertainment.
Integral Cabin Renovation
The ‘SWISS Senses’ concept is not limited to improvements in gastronomy and comfort but also introduces a renovation in cabin design and seating for the intercontinental fleet. This transformation ensures that all passengers, regardless of the class they travel in, enjoy an innovative and sensorially enriching flight experience.
