SMBC Aviation Capital and Arajet have signed a significant lease agreement under the SLB (Sale and Leaseback) model for five Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft, which will be delivered between 2026 and 2027. This move strengthens the expansion plans of the Dominican airline and solidifies SMBC’s position as a leader in the global aircraft leasing market.
These aircraft will join the airline’s current fleet, which already operates 10 planes of the same model.
