With the arrival of Easter, Iberia Group —which includes Iberia, Iberia Express, and Iberia Regional Air Nostrum— has deployed an enhanced operation featuring 6,672 flights and over one million seats for travelers between Friday, April 11, and Monday, April 21.
In total, 1,087,599 seats have been made available on domestic and international flights. This figure represents one of the company’s largest capacity offerings for this period, meeting the peak demand typical of these dates.
Víctor Moneo, Global Sales Director at Iberia, explains: “Easter is one of the busiest periods for travel, with high demand concentrated in a short timeframe. For this reason, we have decided to increase seat availability, offering record capacity to the most sought-after destinations, ensuring our passengers can enjoy their trips with greater flexibility and comfort.”

Strengthening Routes to Key Destinations
To accommodate the surge in passengers, Iberia Group has reinforced several routes to high-demand European destinations:
- Athens: 5 additional frequencies
- Venice and Budapest: +3 frequencies each
- Rome: 2 extra flights
- Milan, Prague, and Vienna: 1 additional frequency per destination
This effort complements the regular connections to capitals like Paris and London, as well as long-haul routes to New York, Boston, Buenos Aires, and Sao Paulo.
Domestically, the Canary Islands top the preferences for Easter travel, solidifying their position as one of the most popular destinations for the holiday period.
Start of the Summer Season
The special Easter operation coincides with the start of the summer season program, which began on March 30. In this context, Iberia has expanded its capacity in nearly all its markets:
Between Europe and Latin America: 3.2 million seats available, representing a 4% increase compared to the previous year.
Short- and medium-haul: 16 million seats offered, in line with 2024 capacity.
