Singapore Airlines (SIA) and All Nippon Airways (ANA) are strengthening their commercial cooperation with an ambitious expansion of their partnership. Starting in September 2025, both airlines will begin operating revenue-sharing flights between Singapore and Japan. Joint fare products for these services will go on sale in May, bolstering an agreement that has already shown positive results since its signing in January 2020.
Beyond Code-Sharing: A Collaboration with Tangible Impact
This new phase of the partnership goes far beyond the code-sharing agreement they previously maintained. The announced changes will allow customers to access a more diverse fare offering, better-synchronized schedules, and smoother connectivity between two of Asia’s most respected airlines, both members of Star Alliance.
One of the key highlights will be the expansion of benefits for frequent flyers. Members of SIA’s KrisFlyer program and ANA’s Mileage Club will be able to earn miles across more booking classes, increasing the value of every flight taken between the two airlines.

Focus on the Corporate Traveler
The alliance also targets the business travel segment. SIA and ANA are working to align their corporate programs, which will enable them to offer a stronger proposition for those who travel for work. This synergy aims to enhance the end-to-end experience for corporate travelers, from booking to post-flight services.
More Destinations, Greater Regional Coverage
The benefits of this collaboration are not limited to direct flights between Japan and Singapore. The companies plan to extend their commercial cooperation to other key markets such as Australia, India, Indonesia, and Malaysia, subject to regulatory approvals.
ANA customers now have access to 25 destinations operated by Singapore Airlines, a significant increase from the previous 12. In turn, SIA passengers can connect to 34 destinations on ANA’s network, including 30 Japanese cities via domestic flights—a leap from the previous 9 destinations.
Goh Choon Phong, CEO of Singapore Airlines, emphasized that the alliance brings together “two of Asia’s leading airlines” and highlighted that the agreement not only improves travel options but also elevates the customer experience. “Joint fare products, revenue-sharing flights, and the expanded code-sharing are just the beginning,” he said.
Shinichi Inoue, CEO of ANA, noted that this alliance marks “a new era in customer experience” and stated that the shared vision of both companies is to consistently exceed passenger expectations.
