Singapore Airlines (SIA) has announced an ambitious renovation of its SilverKris and KrisFlyer Gold lounges at Changi Airport’s Terminal 2. With an investment of S$45 million, the airline aims to transform its ground services, reinforcing its position as a leader in customer experience at one of Asia’s most important hubs.
The project will commence on April 15, 2025, and be carried out in phases, with completion expected by mid-2027. The new lounges will feature 50% more space and capacity, incorporating distinctive elements already present in Terminal 3’s lounges, along with an expanded culinary offering.
First Class: More Light, Height, and Live Cooking
The revamped First Class SilverKris Lounge will be more spacious, with high ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows to enhance natural light. Its upgraded bar will offer premium service, including baristas in the morning, adding a unique touch for discerning travelers.
Live cooking stations will be introduced, featuring a diverse selection of Singaporean specialties, Asian cuisine, and Western options. The self-service buffet will also be expanded, mirroring the dining experience in Terminal 3.

Business Class: 30% More Space and Relaxation Zones
The Business Class SilverKris Lounge will see a 30% increase in space, offering greater comfort and functionality. A new relaxation area with reclining chairs and a lounge-style seating area will be added, featuring wingback chairs, sofas, and productivity pods. The design caters to various needs: work, relaxation, or dining.
The culinary experience will include a refreshed buffet with Asian and Western dishes, along with a full bar serving barista-prepared coffee in the morning and exclusive cocktails in the evening.
KrisFlyer Gold Lounge: Doubled Capacity and New Amenities
The KrisFlyer Gold Lounge will double its current capacity, offering a variety of seating options—from individual armchairs for relaxation to workstations and dining tables. Key upgrades include private bathrooms and showers, allowing passengers to freshen up comfortably before their flights.
Phased Renovation to Minimize Disruptions
The renovation will be conducted in stages to reduce inconvenience to passengers. Construction of the new First Class SilverKris Lounge will begin on April 15, 2025, and is expected to be completed by the fourth quarter of the same year. Work on the Business Class Lounge will start in the last quarter of 2025, followed by the KrisFlyer Gold Lounge in the first half of 2026.
Yeoh Phee Teik, Senior Vice President of Customer Experience at Singapore Airlines, emphasized that this investment underscores the airline’s commitment to seamless travel: “We are extending our signature hospitality and thoughtfully crafted offerings to Terminal 2, building on the success of our Terminal 3 lounges. This upgrade reflects our relentless effort to deliver world-class service that meets the expectations of our most discerning customers.”
