Qatar Airways continues to strengthen its footprint in the Americas with a significant increase in flight frequencies to Toronto and São Paulo, responding to growing demand for connectivity between the Americas and the Middle East.
Starting June 19, 2025, Toronto Pearson International Airport will welcome five weekly flights operated by the Qatari airline. Just six months after launching operations in this Canadian city, market response has been so positive that daily flights are already planned for the winter season.
Meanwhile, São Paulo—a strategic hub for business and tourism in South America—will see an increase from 14 to 17 weekly flights beginning June 25, 2025. This expansion underscores the airline’s commitment to its passengers in Brazil and the region.
Thierry Antinori, Chief Commercial Officer of Qatar Airways, highlighted the positive impact of the Toronto route in such a short time: “We launched our services to Toronto Pearson Airport less than six months ago and have seen a strong market response. We are proud to announce increased flights to meet the growing demand for our award-winning travel experience.”
He also emphasized the strategic value of São Paulo: “We are expanding in South America with additional flights to São Paulo, a key gateway and strategic center for tourism and business. These expansions reinforce our commitment to providing seamless global connectivity through Hamad International Airport, voted the World’s Best Airport for Shopping by Skytrax in 2025.”
