Qatar Airways Group has achieved the best financial results in its history. For the fiscal year 2024/2025, the company posted a profit of QAR 7.85 billion (USD 2.15 billion), representing an increase of over USD 0.5 billion compared to the previous year. This success encompasses not only the airline but also its cargo, catering, and Qatar Duty Free divisions.

The group’s cargo division reinforced its global leadership with a 17% growth in revenue, marking its strongest financial performance since the COVID-19 pandemic. This improvement stems from its ability to adapt to shifting market conditions, its commitment to digitalization, in-depth data analysis, and top-tier operational reliability.
Qatar Airways 2.0 Strategy: Talent as a Key Pillar
Group CEO Engr. Badr Mohammed Al-Meer attributed these results to the dedication and talent of its more than 55,000 employees worldwide. “None of this would be possible without our people,” he emphasized. The “Qatar Airways 2.0” strategy focuses on human capital development and has been instrumental in maintaining the Group’s agility amid evolving political, economic, and environmental landscapes.

During the fiscal year, Qatar Airways accomplished:
- A 28% increase in profits.
- Expansion of Hamad International Airport, which can now handle up to 65 million passengers annually.
- Becoming the first global airline and the first in the MENA region to install high-speed Starlink internet on its Boeing 777 fleet.
- Acquisition of a 25% stake in Virgin Australia.
- Purchase of a 25% stake in Airlink, a regional airline in South Africa.
- Launch of Sama, the first digital AI-powered conversational cabin crew.
- Signing technical memorandums (MoUs) to diversify and fortify the business, aligning with Qatar’s National Vision 2030.
Fleet and World-Class Service
Qatar Airways placed a historic order for 210 wide-body Boeing aircraft, ensuring its fleet remains one of the most modern and advanced in the world. This underscores its commitment to delivering exceptional global service, including the acclaimed Qsuite, premium gastronomy, and free ultra-fast WiFi connectivity onboard.
