Air Canada inaugurated its direct flight between Toronto and Prague this Friday, marking a new milestone in the expansion of its international summer network.
A Strategic Move: Connecting Cultures, Business, and Experiences
“We are thrilled to return to Prague, our newest European destination now part of our global network,” declared Mark Galardo, Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer, as well as President of Cargo at Air Canada.
Galardo emphasized that this route is designed to facilitate both tourism and bilateral trade: “We craft routes like this to attract customers across our North American network, offering convenient travel options from our Toronto hub. Whether visiting family and friends, discovering Prague’s Bohemian architecture, history, and cultural richness, or enabling European travelers to explore Canada coast to coast, our flights make experiencing the best of both countries easier than ever.”

Part of an Ambitious European Expansion
The Prague flight is part of Air Canada’s broader strategy to strengthen its presence in Europe during the summer season. In recent months, the airline has:
- Launched the Montreal–Porto route earlier this week.
- Introduced service to Naples in May.
- Resumed flights between Ottawa and London Heathrow in April.
- Scheduled the Montreal–Edinburgh route to begin in late June.

Flights between Toronto and Prague are operated using an Airbus A330-300, equipped with three service classes: Economy, Premium Economy, and Signature Class. The latter features lie-flat seats, personalized service, high-quality dining, increased baggage allowance, and priority airport access.
