LATAM Airlines Named Best Airline in South America at 2025 APEX Awards

At the 2025 APEX Best Awards ceremony held in Dublin, Ireland, LATAM Airlines was honored as the “Best Airline in South America”. This accolade was awarded based on feedback from over one million passengers who evaluated 600 airlines through Tripit, one of the world’s leading travel organization apps.

Premium Cabins and Standout Services

The LATAM Group has significantly modernized its onboard service offerings, a key factor in winning over customers. Its new Premium Business cabins, the first of their kind in South America, stand out for providing greater privacy and comfort, including individual doors. Additionally, its Premium Economy class offers extra space and a blocked middle seat, significantly enhancing the experience on short- and medium-haul flights.

Another decisive factor has been connectivity. Currently, 90% of LATAM’s narrow-body (single-aisle) fleet is equipped with onboard WiFi, positioning the airline as the regional leader in in-flight connectivity technology.

Lounges and Exclusive Service

LATAM’s VIP lounges were also highlighted, particularly the Santiago lounge, the largest in all of South America. Additionally, the Signature Check-In service at São Paulo and Santiago airports offers an exclusive boarding experience for LATAM PASS Black and Black Signature members.

Regional Cuisine and Sustainable Mobility

LATAM has also innovated its culinary offerings through the “Flavors That Transport” program, featuring dishes created by renowned chefs from Brazil and Peru. This initiative strengthens regional identity and elevates the onboard dining experience.

In Brazil, the company introduced a remote transfer service in electric Audi vehicles for Black Signature members traveling to or from Congonhas Airport in São Paulo. This partnership underscores LATAM’s commitment to sustainability and service excellence.

Consolidated Reputation and Additional Awards

LATAM has consistently earned recognition since 2018 at the APEX Awards. In 2025, it also won the “Best Cabin Interior” award at the PAX International Awards. Furthermore, it ranked fourth globally in punctuality according to the “On-Time Performance (OTP) Review 2024,” making it the only South American airline in the top 5 of the Global Airlines category.
