We are also the longest-operating airline in the country, reflecting our consistency and commitment to the future of Brazilian aviation,” said Harley Meneses, Director of Operations at LATAM Brasil.

Intensive Three-Phase Training

Joining LATAM is not just about passing the selection process. Those who are admitted undergo 3 to 4 months of training, divided into three key phases:

1. Ground Training

The first phase includes technical training on:

  • Aircraft systems
  • Organizational procedures
  • Aeronautical regulations and legislation

Much of the content is delivered online, while hands-on training takes place at the LATAM Corporate Academy.

2. Flight Simulator

In the second phase, pilots practice on certified simulators under the guidance of specialized instructors. They train for normal and emergency operations. This phase concludes with a rigorous evaluation conducted by an examiner authorized by the National Civil Aviation Agency (Anac).

3. Line Training

Already qualified from the previous phase, pilots perform real flights under the supervision of instructor captains. They must adapt to local procedures and airports before being approved to operate independently.

Ongoing Updates and Safety

Once onboard, LATAM pilots participate annually in update programs and revalidation exams, ensuring high standards of safety and technical competence.

With this new recruitment drive, LATAM reinforces its position as a leader in professional training and development in Brazilian aviation. If you are a pilot and meet the requirements, this could be your opportunity to soar high.
