Volotea has announced the launch of a new route that will directly link Valencia-Manises International Airport with Bordeaux-Mérignac in southwestern France. This connection will begin operations on November 7, with two weekly flights on Fridays and Sundays.
Currently, the airline connects Valencia with four destinations: three in Spain (A Coruña, Asturias, and Bilbao) and one in France (Lyon). With the addition of Bordeaux, the total number of routes Volotea operates from Valencia increases to five, along with two direct connections to French territory.

Gabriel Schmilovich, Volotea’s Strategy Director, emphasized the significance of this new route: “The new connection to Bordeaux allows us to further expand international offerings from Valencia, a highly strategic airport for Volotea in Spain. Additionally, with this new destination in southern France, we bring the Valencian Community even closer to Europe and continue strengthening our commitment to connections between Spain and France, our primary market.”
This move is part of the airline’s strategic effort to bolster its presence in two key markets. France solidifies its position as a central hub in Volotea’s international network, while Valencia reaffirms its role as a priority operational base within Spain.
